Give me some music to download

I'm closing in on 5000 songs in my iTunes. I know its shallow, but its a status thing I wants them.

To give you an idea where I'm coming from here are some of my favorite bands of late

1. Against Me!'s new album is quite good.

Death From Above 1979 (If you're not already into them.)
Murder By Death's "Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them?"
Cursive's "Happy HOllow"
The (International) Noise Conspiracy ("A New Morning, Changing Weather" is probably my favourite by them.)
Brand New's "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me" perhaps.

I downloaded some Death From Above 1979 earlier. I had to after listening to CSS's "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above". Unfortunately I haven't been able to follow that command yet. :)

They've only got one album, one EP and a remix album. Shame they broke up. "You're A Woman, I"m A Machine" is a kickass album though. "Blood On Our Hands" is one of my favourite songs to play on bass.

4. Pardon the tangent, but what style of music is this? I've never heard of these bands.

Usually I can find one or two bands in a thread to tell me what the general style is, but you folks have stumped me completely. I guess I'm really out of the loop!

5. I guess Indie would be the best label

of course that is a huge label I know. But they are all different styles within that.

On one hand we have The Black Keys with two members totally rocking out.

Then there is Arcade Fire who don't rock out as hard, but with 7 members they produce a little more variety.

Kings of Leon fall between the two members wise, but definitely share more in common with the Keys. This is the song that Bob Dylan told them wasn't bad. Understandably it's a staple of their concerts now.

Arctic Monkeys are an English band doing an impressive job of living up to the ungodly amounts of hype put on them.

Drive-by Truckers are a good old southern rock band. This one isn't one of them, but they have also been known to write a damn good protest song or two.

9. Eric Bachman's cover of Let's Active's Every Word Means No

I have no idea if it's available for download but it's a stunning, minimalist piece of work. He takes the shiny happy original and gives it a tone that's totally appropriate for the actual lyrics:

Watching for a sound to lead me to
Where ever you are
I will always want you

His version is recorded alone in an Outer Banks motel room.

You can almost smell the desperation and isolation.

You'll get tons of music hipster points for downloading it

...I've never heard The Black Keys or Robert Randolph, and I'm not really a huge Yeah Yeah Yeahs fan.

Arcade Fire is my favorite band, though.
