Why more cat/kitten threads than dog/puppy threads?

Today seems especially cat-oriented.

I've nothing against it, I'm just wondering if Lounge members in general fawn over cats more than dogs. I love cats and dogs equally...well, depending upon the particular specimen, that is.

1. without insulting anyone, I will point out that it's a LOT more likely that a cat owner

will refer to his or her cats as "children" and take more pictures of them and obsess over them and talk about them a LOT more than dog owners do.

I am NOT insulting cat owners here, just making an observation that you all know is true if you'll just be honest about it.

lol. I love all of my babies equally, though. :) I have two cats and a dog, and they are all three great pets in their own ways. (yes, I know, sappy...lol.)

But bears and Dobson's Flies and such are the oddballs of the Lounge. They can be a nice break though :-)
