No, I'm not asking for medical ADVICE.
Yes, I will go to the doctor if it keeps happening.

It's just weird. That's all.

1. Ebola?
Seriously though, I have no idea and you should at least call your doctor now and speak to the answering service. I'm pretty sure your doc will call you back within a few...:hi:

8. You're right. I'll just call them.
The nurse line can probably tell me if I need to worry about it or not.

Oh, and thanks!

4. ok what is this?
i get it that it is some kind of gag, having just seen the "i get dizziness and near black-outs" from PMS post but it is not funny to worry people like this

get medical help if you are really bleeding from your ears, blacking out, or "flipping out" irrationally because it's 3 days before your period

this is not in the realm of normal behavior and we simply can't help you from here

39. it is accurate to say "we" when "we" is what i meant, look in DU terms and conditions
this person should not be soliciting medical advice, reason, WE as a group, yes DU is not able to diagnose or treat or cure long distance nor should the site take the liability risk of being perceived of doing the same

why don't you ask the mods if you have any questions about this? we've had many a thread locked for far less than bleeding from the fricking ears!

40. yeah i knew someone who lost the hearing in one ear over something like this
she didn't go go the doc because she had no health plan and no $$$ but to not go to at least an emergency clinic or something when you're bleeding from the ears and you do have a plan or some income just seems crazy to me

save your hearing and worry about the $$$ later in my view if there's a credit card or an insurance card or ANY way at all to get help NOW

23. Did you bang your head recently? Stick anything in your ear?
Do anything that might have injured an eardrum, like flying with a bad cold or listening to music so loud that you couldn't hear anything afterwards? Any symptoms of an infection, like a crusty seepage deposit on nearby skin?

Is it just a smear of blood, like from a scratch, that you wouldn't have noticed, except for the fact that it showed up on a Q-tip? Or is it spurting out onto your shoulders and ruining your clothes, as if a small artery ruptured?

27. Update, since I'm freaking people out. Sorry.
Nurse says it's probably related to my allergies; I've been taking Sudafed all week, because my ears keep plugging up. Maybe an infection, due to fluid, etc. It doesn't hurt very bad, but I can come in and get it checked out if it continues to bleed (it's stopped), or if it's painful (indicating I have an continuing ear infection and need antibiotics.)

I noticed it after my bath. Blood was trickling out my ear. She thinks it probably looked worse than it was, because the blood would have been mixed with water. That makes sense.
