What's your favorite meal to go out for?
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner?

Each one kind of has it's own special appeal. There's something very comforting I think about breakfast, getting served that first cup of coffee. I usually try to avoid things like pancakes and waffles because by 11am I'm ready for a nap from the sugar crash.

I usually don't go out for lunch at work, when I do I usally go for sushi - eel, yummmmm.

And dinner is always kind of an adventurous thing, especially when you try new places. I especially like going out for dinner when i'm on vacation.

10. Sweet vs. savory is always the big question when I go out for breakfast.
Although, since I am avoiding simple carbs these days (complex carbs are fine), savory wins most of the time. There's a wonderful place called the Lucky Platter that has delicious scrambles with your choice of ingredients. And it comes with a pastry that is fresh from the oven and filled with apricot and cream cheese. YUM- totally worth throwing the no simple carbs rule out the window for! So you get the best of both worlds.

16. Sounds like the same kind of trends as those McGriddle things
Basically putting a egg and meat sandwich between two pankcakes. But I guess that's not so different from turkey and cranberry sauce, or swedish meatballs and lingenberry sauce.

23. I actually don't like the sweet and savory together in the same bit. Those McGriddles
things gross me out. But I do enjoy having my yummy eggs with goat cheese, smoked turkey and sun-dried tomatoes, then having a warm pastry along with it. Not much different I suppose. I'm weird that way.

5. Well, for some reason breakfast is the meal I enjoy cooking the least, so I guess
that would be the one I like going out for the most. But Chicago is a restaurant town, so I like going out for any meal.

13. I'm not a big seafood person. But I think most people joke about not eating what
comes out of Lake Michigan. Perhaps the other lakes, though.

12. Some supermarket sushi is remarkably good
There are two supermarkets near my office that have good sushi, and they're a favorite stop for a quick lunch when I don't bring something and can't stomach the cafeteria slop.

15. Dinner is always too much of a fussy drama episode of some awful theater of the absurd.
And you don't need all those calories at night anyway. Dinner should be abolished. Lunch is far more sensible and much less idiotic drama. The same or better food at half the price. And you still get to do something else the rest of the day.

44. yes, and it's a real problem for me
because of my small tummy (gastric bypass). I always want a bite of everything, and that usually means I end up sick because a bit of everything is too much.

46. Stay away from traditional Chinese Weddings
They're like 10 courses. I went to one when I was pregnant - reduced stomach room for different reasons - and by the sixth course I couldn't take a single bite.

25. Dinner, maybe lunch.
I'm never hungry in the morning so going out for breakfast is sort of lame and pointless for me. Besides which, I hate getting up in the morning. I'm a night owl all the way.
