He never talks to a suspect without presenting his back to them first, looking off into space with his hands on his hips. He starts his sentence and then WHEELS AROUND DRAMATICALLY.

You could actually make a drinking game out of it.

Here is why. He acts the most like a cop. Grissom is a scientist...he'd get his arse whooped in a fight, he strikes me as a lover not a fighter. Horatio is just a train wreck...he's a parody of a parody of something and I don't know what it is, he's good and taking off his sunglasses and putting them back on but I don't see him as overyly macho at all; on the contrary, he strikes me as very much a prima donna.

Maybe I'm reading the OP wrong, but as far as balls are concerned the only macho character in that lot is played by Gary Sinise. I mean, this guy could take on the other two at once and still win.

but he needs a better show. He comes across so wooden in CSI. The original CSI is the greatest.

Because his character has hidden demons, that wooden aspect is the repression of his angst. It's what Horatio Caine would be if he wasn't such a diva.

Actually Sinise has done a lot better than I thought he would have, I was kind of worried about him going to the small screen and how it would work out. He is a good contrast on that show...I spend most of it staring at soft and beautiful Melissa karananadeneas or whatever her name is. I think CSI NY has the weakest cast though, they really need better supporting characters.
