My boss tried to tell me how horrible the report was but considering I was only 9 days on the job, it was glowing, at least to me. He kept trying to point out how dismal it was, but the remarks meant alot to me. Hey, I did not ask for the sale, and I did not bring out another feature, so sue me.
Lots of remarks on how personable I was and that I was sincerely interested in the customer and they liked doing business with me.
Considering I am NEW, I am near the top in dollar sales for the month for the entire region.
So THERE!

For some reason the current trend is that sales don't matter, and all anybody wants to hear about is ad-ons. At least in the store I worked in until a few months ago.
"We're at 250% of budget!"
"Yeah? We're a bit low on warranties and we need another half a percent on batteries. Slackers." Lamest trend ever.

Luckily, this is high end retail, so we are not talking 7.50 an hour. Yes, it is sales, but not quite so high pressure sales which brings a decent income, I must say.
I just wish they would let my sales speak for me and leave me alone.
