Roving Gangs Of Children Assaulting College Students

PHILADELPHIA --Police have stepped up patrols to try to nab youths ranging from 9 to 13 years old who have roamed the University of Pennsylvania campus in groups of three to eight, assaulting and robbing students and staff members, a school official said.

Penn's division of public safety has issued an alert about six such incidents involving separate groups of youths since July 3, said Karima Zedan, the division's director of academic and external affairs.

City police said groups of youths committed 10 assaults and some robberies between June 9 and July 7.

Patrols have been stepped up, including undercover operations, security cameras are being monitored, and two youths have been arrested in connection with one of the incidents, officials said.

13. when I was in college 35 years ago

There was a philosophy professor from Lebanon named Dr. Mitias who lived on the campus near the dorms. He had two cute little boys, about 8 or 9 yrs. old. They liked to prey on unsuspecting students. You'd b walking to class and these two cute little kids would be looking at something cupped in their hands.

"Wanna see?"

So you'd think, 'how cute' and go over and bend down to see the little bird or whatever, whe suddenly:
