Aaron Neville is like nails on a chalkboard
His voice, his fucking warbling - sounds like a dying cow.

God I hate that kind of singing (and to boot there are thousands of Christina Aguilera wannabes who try that warbling shit all the time - that's why I don't watch American Idol)

AAAARGGH!

2. I can't stand his voice either. My friend does the most hilarious impersonation
of him though. Cracks me up to no end.

6. I STILL think it would be a great idea to have a hardcore band with everyone dressed as Bowzer.
And acting the parts too. Stop in the middle of songs to do poses and wimpy muscle flexes.

7. Not to mention he unleashes that horridity on the WORST songs.
Like that "Don't Know Much" shittiness. That's one of those vocal-gymkata songs where, if I never hear it again, it will make life all the much NOW "DON'T KNOW MUCH" IS AN EARWORM!!! THAT'S ALL I'M HEARING!! GET OUT!!! GET OUT AARON NEVILLE AND LINDA RONSTADT!!!!! NOWW!!!!

14. You can't fool anyone, you know.
The reason it's an earworm you can't get rid of is because you like it, even if you want to hate it. I hate Steely Dan and James Taylor, and I've NEVER had an earworm for either one! Songs I like, those are my earworms. Like Aaron Neville! "Don't know much, but I know I love you. That may be all I need to know!" Embrace it, love it, admit it speaks to your soul. The altar is calling! Embrace the altar and you will be free!

mebbe.

Just to help you...

15. That is the shittiest song known to mankind.
And yes, there IS an antidote - it's called "Please Stay (Once you Go Away) by Marvin Gaye. It kills earworms dead.

And this is one time where I'm thankful youtube is blocked at work.

19. How does one song matter to another?
Okay, Marvin Gaye is good. Has nothing to do with how wonderful Aaron Neville and Linda Rondstadt sound together. Ain't no competition, it's about how you perceive beauty.

And if you got the song in your head, that's not because you hate it, it's because you like it but want to hate it.

And since Youtube is blocked for you: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1398036028220383080&q=%22don%27t+know+much%22&total=444&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=2

(Damn, I just listened again! Angelic, beautiful song! You should listen again!)

16. You can blame Mariah Carey for all the young girls who think
running the scales every three seconds is a sign of good singing.

I can't listen to Aaron Neville either.

17. I agree.
I'm not a fan of overwrought singing, especially that warbling style.

He also strikes me as someone who takes himself waaay too seriously.
