52 Year Old Woman Arrested For Beating, Choking Other Tea-Cup Rider In Line At Disney World
<snip>

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A 52-year-old Alabama woman was arrested on suspicion she beat and choked a woman who was allowed ahead of her while waiting to board a tea cup ride at Walt Disney World, according to authorities.

Witnesses said Victoria Walker became enraged after the victim and her children were allowed ahead of her at the "Mad Tea Party' ride in May.

Walker was questioned after the incident and allowed to return to her Alabama home.

However, when a judge noticed how severe the victim's injuries were, he signed an arrest warrant for Walker.

It took deputies nearly two months to catch up with the woman but she was picked up on a warrant in Alabama and transported back to Orange County.

She bonded out of jail Tuesday.

1. when I was at Disney I saw line cutting like you would never believe
I could not believe how rude people were and how one woman would be in line...and then her family of 12 would show up just as we were approaching the point of getting on the ride...and they would just walk on through and the "placeholder" lady would just look at you like ..."well i'm special and can do this"..

Here in Pittsburgh at Kennywood Park...I don't see it at all..then again there are signs telling people..."you will get kicked out if you cut in front of others".

Now I would never choke anyone for line cutting but boy...I would be peeved.

I wonder if Disney's Fast Pass was the reason the other folks got ahead or if they cut in line?

3. That's actually encouraged, what you describe.
In Orlando, because of the heat, most of the guidebooks will tell you to designate a place holder so the rest of the family can wait elsewhere, especially with small children. Twelve might be excessive. But I've done that, frequently, with my young daughter. She would be hell on the others in line, anyway. They don't consider that cutting in line. That's why you see it so much.

4. That is one of the reasons we won't go back...
it was so bad at times that you could see people getting visibly pissed off...I also don't think it is allowed and if caught you will be evicted from the Park...so I don't know if that guidebook was an official Disney one..but when I searched about...line-cutting is grounds for being kicked out...

7. That's BS. If you can't do the line, don't do the ride.

5. The Brazilians are the worst
There seems to be a fad among affluent families in Brazil to send their spoiled offspring to visit Disney World in large minimally-supervised groups.

2. Why was the other family allowed ahead of her?
I hate partial stories. Not that any reason would justify assault, but if I'm going to know what, I'd like to know why, too.

6. I don't allow people to cut.
It's one thing to bring a small child in but anyone over the age of 8 has to wait like the rest of us. I make enough of a stink about it and am intimidating enough that the cutters usually slink away to the back of the line where they belong. Speaking up also encourages others to do the same. It doesn't happen very often in Disney, people are usually very respectful there.

12. Don't like Anaheim either.
Smoggy and as I recall there aren't many shady trees by the rides like there is at 6 Flags near Northridge. I hate rides. We have the big county fair and I hate standing in line for rides that turn you upside down and make you all dizzy. At least with Spash Mountain at Dizzyland you can get wet at the end.
