Large unaccounted for bruise |
|
on my right breast, from rib side to "nibble" as Kaghime used to call them. Any ideas? I am only kinda scared as my life is a nightmare and has been for weeks. Nothing would surprise me now. Ideas/suggestions welcome.

Have you changed any medications recently?

no changes. Am quite perplexed. I will call my doc in the am as I feel sure my bosom will not disintigrate tonight...but I am a tad concerned. Wouldn't normally be but Mercury in retrograde has wreaked havoc upon my life this past week so am more than just a tad paranoid.
Glad you are feeling better. Talk about wreaking havoc! Anxiety attacks can cut you off at the knees! Just keep breathing. Furthermore, a warm shower may feel very good also.

12. Take the steps you need to... |

Sometimes things that might appear serious are not, and sometimes they are. Get to the doctor ASAP, and put your mind to rest. My very best wishes

4. Do you take lots of aspirin or ibuprofen? |
|
As in more than a daily recommendation long term? That can affect your clotting and a little bump can cause a big bruise. Other than that, I'll say call your doc.

Nope, don't take those things. Felt tender for the last two days but noticed bruise only today. And, yes, I have showered since the discomfort started :silly:
 I appreciate the response. Really don't know what to do with limited insurance and all.

I think =) I will call doc in the am. This is very unusual and has never happened before.
As for the cancer part, I will think positive; however, if a failed cooling system in the car, after blood letting efforts to correct, could contribute, I may be dead by tomorrow :silly:
Thanks everyone. Support always feels good!

It's highly unlikely that you have IBC, but tis always better to be safe than sorry.
Also, I've heard that many doctors are pretty clueless about this form of breast cancer, so if he/she tries to brush you off, be forceful. You might even want to print off that link and take it with you.
And please do keep us updated!

yeah, if it is something you can't explain, get thee to thy physician. Better to err on the side of caution.
I find bruises or get sore after doing things that I forget I've done in the course of a day :P
Don't worry too much, but don't let worry about it take over either

No wonder my girly girl thinks so much of you...you thoughtful pawkicker you!
My world has be VERY topsy turvey these past days...nothing would surprise me at this stage of the game; however, I DID fall down, go boom on Saturday night. Being the klutz that I am, I hit my head on the edge of the table. Having an "ample bosom" as a family curse, I am thinking, because of the pattern of the bruise, I may have hit more than my head.
I will check with the doc tomorrow.
That said...thanks for your concern. In fact, thanks to ALL for their responses.

18. you bumped into something and forgot, at least that's what it is with me |
|
if you have v. fair skin, you may have bumped into something, never noticed until the bruise forms, happens to me all the time, no biggie
obviously if the bruise does not go away, see your doctor, but sometimes when things are stressful you bump into things and you're thinking of something else and even pain doesn't register
a tree fell on our house during a tropical storm, destroying most of it, with us in it, and even though i wasn't myself struck by the tree, i later found large bruises -- after some thought i realized that stumbling around in the house w.out electricity i'd bumped into stuff and being upset i never even noticed the pain, i had a larger issue with half the sky raining into my abode
any doubts, see a doc, but probably this is all it is IME

See a doc (it's probably nothin': weird things can happen to the human body when under stress) and all the best!:)

20. My daughter gets unexplained bruises |
|
She's been diagnosed with Von Willenbrands Disease. http://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/Von-Willebrands-Disease-SymptomsHer bruising is normally spotty, almost rash-like tiny bruises, but she also gets larger bruises from slight contacts that otherwise would cause nothing. Her period varies in severity, but she fortunately has no other bleeding symptoms.

It may not be anything serious, but you should definitely have it checked out.
Do you have health insurance? PM me if you want.
