I'm writing a TV show about an man who goes to a city school. His name will be "Gabe Kotter."
The school will be located in the mysterious Brooklyn and will be named "Buchanan."

He'll have a lot of friends and sweathogs. I'm thinking of writing five seasons total.

Who wants to invest in this undertaking?

8. I like it and I have a suggestion ...
you should start each episode with "Gabe" telling his wife a joke about a fictitious family member. It could go something like (assuming his wife's name is Julie): "Julie, did I ever tell you about my Uncle Akmar?" and go from there.

19. Don't Forget To Cast A Southern White Guy To Play One of the HS School Kids
Because a clean, cut Southern White Guy would have no problems at all attending a racially mixed inner-city school in Brooklyn, NY in the 70s. No problems at all.

20. Ah yes, Ted McGinley ...
McGinley first found fame in comedy series Happy Days as Roger Phillips, a role he played from 1980 until 1984. He then went into the role of Jefferson D'Arcy on Married... with Children from 1991 to 1997. From 2003 until 2006, he played Charley Shanowski on Hope & Faith.

McGinley is thought of by some as being the patron saint of "jumping the shark," and is officially listed as such on that website. Alternately, he's known as a "showkiller." This is probably because whenever he joined the cast of popular and enduring series, usually later in their runs as a replacement character, they then went into decline. Such shows include Happy Days, The Love Boat, and Dynasty. He was also a replacement character on Married... with Children. In this series McGinley's tenure was ultimately much longer than that of his predecessor, David Garrison. McGinley's most recent show, Hope & Faith, also had a moderately successful three-season run on ABC. Although he did not appear in the pilot episode, McGinley was an original cast member on Hope & Faith.
