Did you do a lot of touring, or pretty much stay around the pool and beach?

Sometimes I feel like I just want to veg out when I'm on vacation.

got my first massage
I was on the beach or at the pool by 9am
had a blast
finished a book..... and it was all families
so going alone, noone bothered me...

Welcome back! Good to hear you had a good time. I love that part of FL. It's so beautiful...I didn't enjoy Ft Myers so much. Hate to say it. but it was a little too redneck for me...I love Sanibel & Captiva though.

yeah redneck might be what Ft. Meyers Beach proper is

but to be honest everyone was so nice.....
funny story the one time I did leave the hotel
I took the trolly down town.... did some t-shirt shopping then wanted to go back...
found the trolly stop I needed and the 2 homeless guys waiting for the trolly (it cost 25 cents)
told me I should wait in the shade, said "miss you have 15 minutes you should stand in the shade"
they were worried about me..... then they let me know when the trolly was coming

so yeah.... everyone was nice...
