1. Got stockings?
They might help take your mind off food.

10. Who said anything about sex?
Put 'em on, strut around some, preen in a mirror and tell yourself how hawt you look.

Then share your special moment with pictures.

We're here to help. :7

2. Wake your husband
burn some calories.

It'll take your mind off the munchies, keep you on your diet, and be fun.

5. I'd say don't eat, but that never helps
Edited on Fri Jul-20-07 01:56 AM by jpgray
:P

Try having a small fruit like a kiwi or plum, drinking some water, having a bit of healthy cereal, an egg, something small and non-flour-based! Beware the Bagel! :D

11. well, we're pretty limited right now
some sourdough bread, some turkey, some tomatoes, some sharp chedder cheese, soy milk, cereal, and some grapes. Mustard, pickles, and a few odd things like that. Some candy in the fridge.

Oddly, there is some candy lying around, but I don't crave sweet things. I might be hungry for something substantial (I was pretty busy today) and I only had a bowl of special K w soy milk for dinner about 2 hours ago...

13. I would have the grapes, a small slice of cheese and a tomato with pepper and salt
Unless it's a sucky tomato, in which case I might be amenable to a piece of bread. :P But seriously, if you gotta eat you gotta eat. If you -know- something's bad for the diet, well, just be as strong as you can and try to avoid it! :)

14. I shall journey to the fridge with your thoughts in mind.
The last week I've stopped eating anything from work (I work at starbucks right now, and sweet jesus I gained like 5 pounds from all the free pastries) and have replaced two meals with low cal/fat options...

I feel better already, but tonight's the last bit o' the weed before I'm out, and for some reason, I'm very hungry tonight.

18. These are actual situations I've experienced this week:
Co-worker shows tray of orange cream coffee cakes: "Gen, I'm tossing 4 of these day old, yet still amazingly moist and delicious, cakes out--want some?"

Co-worker shows tray of coffee cake: "So...these aren't even old, but I don't feel like wrapping them in saran wrap so I'm just gonna mark them out--want like 5 of them?"

repeat like 19 times every day.

I grew up where these things were true luxuries, so I have this thing where I feel like I *need* to take and eat them...

19. Ha! You are my hero
And for some more tedious advice (:D) try to keep at least a few small fruits (kiwis, plums, nectarines, etc.) or bits of cheese or leafy greens with oil/vinegar (and maybe some oven-roasted pine nuts) to munch on when the cravings are just too much. To me the floury stuff like bagels or white pitas or tortillas were always death--I always want more, and more, and, well, you get the idea.

7. A salad, steamed veggies, baked potato...
oatmeal, a bowl of cereal, or some fruit maybe.

But a bagel and cream cheese wouldn't be that horrible.

20. Ice
Ice is the perfect thing to crunch when you don't want to consume calories

Might I recommend, however, that until you reach goal weight, you lay off the MJ
