On Dave Matthews,
Did his career officially end when his tour bus dumped(pun intended) it's septic system into the, I believe, Chicago river? Is that what did it? Was it in the crapper before this incident?

2. DMB = DAMN this Music's Bland.
Sorry, I tried. Lots of talent writing painfully ordinary music. It's mostly happy-sappy, feel-goodsy BS.

4. I honestly think his shelf-life just expired
How many other bands from that era have sustainability?

He was the hip happening thing at the time but his moment's over.

At least he got a longer ride than Hootie and the Blowfish.

5. I think that just coincided with their taking a break after YEARS of touring
See here in Richmond we get issued Dave Mathews CDs
:bounce:

Not really but he did start out in Charlottesville and here in Richmond (Wednesday night at the Flood Zone) so there is a home town feel to him.

Great guy from what I hear. Bourbon drinker. I think it was just time for them to step back for a while and clean out the shoe closet.

6. They hit a wall with me when he picked up an electric guitar
I mean seriously, does Glen Ballard ruin everything he touches (with the exception of Jagged Little Pill)?????
