Bad to be nice anymore?
Just ask anybody these days to "turn their music down", "please move your car out of my driveway", etc. and they act like they want to shoot you.

1. It's even worse if their car is in your driveway WHILE they are playing the loud music.

2. Not where I live...
Edited on Fri Jul-20-07 05:09 PM by redqueen
where I live my neighbors ask me "Is our music too loud?" and when I say it's fine they say "Just let us know if it gets to be a problem."

There are definitely reasons to like livin' in the sticks :)

3. Whenever the kid next door intends to have a party...
he always passes out notes in the neighborhood 1 week ahead of time stating his intention and his phone number. I'm sure nobody wants the cops raiding their party but still, it works out great and is a good gesture.

4. That's a great idea!
I think that sort of thing is customary in Japan, actually.

7. In my younger days hosting parties....
...we used to invite the neighbors and told them after 11 pm (weekend) all outside activities and noise would stop. My only problem sometimes was somebody that came with one of my guests (always) would have the attitude, "Fuck your neighbors!", "We're having a party!".

5. Two houses down a 110 pound woman beat the shit....
...out of this one 180 guy who drives his car up and down our road playing that boom-boom shit and it kept waking up her five month old. She stopped the guy two weeks ago, asked him nicely if he could turn it down as it scared her kid, got the, "Yo' fuck you bitch and your fucking kid!" response, a fight broke out, she won, I ain't never going to say shit to her myself :scared:

8. It is funny and I guess....
...the guy was too embarrassed to call the cops and I haven't heard his car lately either
Her boyfriend is pretty proud of her too. I know him better than I do her.
