I've got an idea for a new show for NBC. Let me know what you think. |
|
I call it 'To Crucify a Predator.' I think 'To Catch a Predator' is great and all, but it doesn't go far enough with those inhuman dirtbags. Because of the heinous nature of their crimes, I think we can all agree that the rules of law don't apply to these monsters. Therefore, why bother with a fair trial, innocence until guilt is proven, and all of that bleeding-heart crap? Let's cut out the middle man. When Chris Hansen comes out, he'll have with him a man in a black hood. Then they will spin the 'Wheel of Justice' and choose an appropriately painful and humiliating method of execution. Justice will be served in a most glorious manner as the pervert is subjected to a slow and painful death without any of those boring things like a 'fair trial by a jury of his peers.' I even thought of a few of the methods they could stick up there on the 'Wheel of Justice': 1.) Slow boiling in oil. 2.) Crucifixion. (of course, since this is the 'special prize execution,' they'd have balloons and streamers and silly music come on just before they nail that bastard to the cross just like he deserves) 3.) Burning at the stake 4.) Skinned alive, then dunked in salt water 5.) Every bone in body broken with a sledgehammer.
What 'To Catch a Predator' needs is more TOUGH JUSTICE and more SPECTACLE. So let's give the public what they demand...PUBLIC EXECUTIONS, TELEVISED FOR EVERYONE TO SEE. That'll teach those sickos a lesson. So, what do you think? Will NBC go for it?

8. 'Public Execution TV'...I might pitch that to a Network someday when I want to get rich. |
|
It would be the height of American cynicism. It would be the greatest moment in our culture.

perverse enjoyment in the suffering of alleged criminals. let it be said that i have NO sympathy for pedophiles. i just find it sick that it's being made into a tv show that people derive enjoyment from.

13. I agree - it's just as sick as the crime they are "exposing." Chris Hansen is just as sick as them. |

4. or maybe "Age of Love" |
|
where lonely guys find love with children on the internet and then the kids compete to see who 'wins' a date with the lonely guys. :eyes:
/sarcasm
FYI - there are trials. Your hyperbole is unnecessary.

5. Yes. I know they are put on trial. |
|
Duh. I'm just sick of the attitude that some people have. Disgusting as these people are, they are still people, and still entitled to a fair trial. This show pisses all over 'innocent until proven guilty.' I'm also sick of the hardon people in this country have for seeing people punished. Hence the hyperbole. Incidentally, if there WERE a show featuring public executions, you can bet it'd get serious ratings. Americans would LOVE it.
