7. I still have nightmares about taking that drink.

It's been 23 years for me- I don't even use cough syrup if it has alcohol in it. (I do smoke a little herbal essence from time to time, but that's another story- I don't do it often and when I'm out I'm out and it's no big deal- no addictive symptoms at all pop up.)

I'm not sure if you were courageous or foolish when you lifted that glass- it looks like you ended up coming down on the right side of the situation and that's an excellent sign. This time.

Just don't EVER do it again.
