I need advice on what to wear to a wedding.
Early autumn, afternoon, indoors. Big wedding, if that matters.

I know nothing I have will work, but I'm not sure what to look for. I'm not so great with clothes.

1. How about a two piece dress, or a suit?
Something in a rich but calm color?

Maybe you oughta check out the "What Not To Wear" web site to get some hints.

22. Nothing good on the Hitler Channel right now?
Did I tell you while I was down there we kept watching HGTV? We have got to be the gayest straight couple ever.

23. Nope, nothing on the Hitler channel
Haruka's sister watches HGTV with her boyfriend all the time. So you're at least tied with them.

BTW, I think we're going to have the straightest gay wedding ever.

4. Upstage the bride. Wear a wedding gown. You know you want to.
Huge wedding gown, big hair, heavy makeup (which you will HIRE someone to apply because I know your makeup case contains one essentially-colorless item)...'course, the bride's mom will hate you forever but she's probably going to die soon anyway.

And then there is that little problem...you know, the one where the bride will give you a gift consisting of a hand grenade with the pin pulled.

Seriously? Wear a nice suit.

It will not be a white wedding, however.

21. Oh you did?
I'm so sad now. :(

Oh well, at least that should keep speculation from "and guest" about who's going regimental to a minimum. Or not. :eyes:

32. I wish you would have said it was LostinVA and Haruka's wedding
A black hemp skirt, burgundy-colored blouse (that way, when you get drunk off your ass and start pouring red wine down your front, no one will be able to tell), low heels and a loose hairstyle would be just perfect.

33. I can't get drunk, I have to keep flvegan hitting on the brides.
:)

That color combination would work for me though.

If not, then go ahead and drink - I'm sure he'll persevere. :)

35. Two words: Duct Ties
Duct ties are a bit like cable ties, except they're three feet long. Get a pack of those and use 'em to tie flvegan to a column. Then you can drink and dance, and not have to worry about your man straying.

Anyhow, I don't dance, so I need somebody to wallflower with me. :)

7. I am attending an afternoon indoor big wedding in October...
And I am wearing a navy blue dress that is several layers of diaphonous crepe, tank-style, with multiple layers and sort of a zigzag hem.

A different wedding from the one you are attending.

...so if someone wears kilts, doesn't that mean they're going commando underneath? So, just try to figure it out from there. Good luck on this one LeftyMom...

24. I guess they nixed that idea.
They got dresses, the better to stomp across the countryside and threaten caterers and Tokyo in.

Well, maybe the second, but the first is my date, so it amounts to the same thing.
