6. I live here and have surfed in the past but no longer do-you'll
need a wetsuit 'cause the Pacific is pretty cold (at least compared to the Gulf of Mexico where I used to surf).

9. I first heard this question in the late '60s
I've lived in Kollyforniya all my life, and within 20 miles of the coast.

I answer it now the same way I answered it then: I've never been on a surfboard in my life.

11. Grew up/live in in San Francisco...
The water here is flippin' FREEZING and we have very dangerous surf, so no boarding for me. :( Growing up, no one surfed here, but folks now surf in wet suits in a couple of places off the SF coast, including Chris Isaak.
