A Bush loving lady flipped me the bird....

So I was driving around in the anti-* mobile on sunday and I glanced back in my rear-view mirror at the stoplight to see a woman clearly and very angrily flipping me the bird. She rode my tail once I started moving and just kept holding her finger up in front of her like some freak.

She pulled up beside me at the next light. My window was already down. She rolled her window down and flipped it with even more rage, while screaming "MAKE WAR"!

This led me to just crack up at which point she yelled even louder "MAKE WAR"!

Now I have never been flipped the bird over the bumper stickers on my car. I have had run-ins with people who call me "unpatriotic" but I have never had someone with quite so much rage. Her face was red with anger. She got so mad that I laughed at her that she started screaming "Why are you laughing at me"?

I told her she was ridiculous and started driving when the light turned green. DH leaned over me and said "Have a nice day" She just kept screaming and waving her finger out the car window....

although if my kid was in the car, I am not sure I would have restrained myself as well when she kept dropping the f-bomb on us.

A couple years ago, everything was coming up roses for them. Dubya was in his flightsuit and they were good little Germans marching with lockstep. Now they are in the minority, and they're enraged, and their tiny little brains can't handle their lessened status.

sounds like nothing else could have pissed her off even more. I've gotten flipped off a couple times with my bumper stickers being the only inciting factor I could see. But then I get the honks and thumbs up or people hollering support at the stop light and it makes me so happy to be waking up from this 1984 dream.

I laughed all day yesterday every time I thought about it. It was my first time doing my errands and shopping in that area (we recently moved) and I decided that it was closer then my old stomping grounds. It should be interesting if I run into her again.

say that she really fit the part of the crazed road rager....her bleached blonde/grey hair was sticking up in spots, the long cigarette hanging out of her mouth, the face contorted with anger and the hand just holding up her finger in a fury....

I swear, I can't help but laugh every time I think about it. I chuckled at my desk for quite some time today - every time I felt a little work stress come over me, I just sat there chanting MAKE WAR and laughing.
