I love Holly Hunter
but her new TV series Saving Grace was ridiculous.

Too bad.

2. Pretty much had the same reaction to the ads for the show.
She's great, that looks like dreck.

4. Have you seen...
Miss Firecracker. It's a comedy with Holly Hunter, Mary Steenburgen and Alfrie Woodard from @1990. The plot revolves around a small town beauty pagent.
Both Holly Hunter and Mary Steenburgen are fantastic.

6. I saw about the first ten minutes, then occasionally clicked back during commercials...

I think it was about the time when the angel wraps her in its wings and she gets this absolutely absurd look on her face and performs some of the worst acting she's ever committed to the screen (small or large) that I realized just how unbelievably awful this show was. Saving Grace is so bad, it makes Cop Rock look subtle and nuanced.

I particularly enjoyed how the atheistic character Hunter plays is, naturally a boozey, whorish, violent asshole. Because, clearly, if you don't believe in God, there's gotta be something wrong with you.

I'll always appreciate Hunter, especially for her work in Raising Arizona, one of the funniest films ever created. But last night's TV show was a fucking farce.

7. I only watched it
because my sister was enjoying it.

It got worse.

No plot, just the tobacco chewing redneck angel named Earl.

Who the hell wrote this stuff?
