What is the word for this? |
|
You meet someone who lives in the same neighborhood as you, who in fact has lived there several years like you have, but you never noticed them before. After you meet them formally, then you start noticing them all the time. Or, you learn a new word that you didn't know before. Then you start encountering that word frequently while reading.

7. "...you never noticed them before." |
|
Who's "them"? I thought you were talking about one person. Is it a group?
You notice those things now because you are3 aware of them. It is likely that the same people or word was around just as often before, but you did not notice it.
