Take the Quiz: What's your Pirate name! (I'm Captain Anne Cash...arrrggghhh)

My pirate name is:

Captain Anne Cash

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. You tend to blend into the background occaisionally, but that's okay, because it's much easier to sneak up on people and disembowel them that way. Arr!

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

My maiden name is Read. Related according to family legend to Mary Read, the notorious pirate. I've even corresponded with a descendent of Anne Bonney!

19. Hee hee!
Yeah, my family tree is lousy with pirates. Mostly they were Crawfords, but the Reads got in there too. One of them took to the seas, John Read (born abt 1700), gave it up and became respectable in Alexandria, VA. We have one line that was respectable - George Read is the only person to sign both the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Thomas McKean was also a relative.

Then there are the scumbags and scalliwags. Five brothers killed an excise man in Scotland and came over here. The US wouldn't have them, so they were sent to be Texicans. We've been here ever since -at least 9 generations. The scumbags persisted up until my mothers' uncle, who was hanged.
