...that top photo was taken at Salmon Creek Beach, just north of San Francisco, two Summers ago. Here in Northern California the beach is often foggy and cold during the summer...some of our best days are in Fall and Spring.

We are coastal folk also...going to hike the trail from Mt. Tamalpais to Stinson Beach this weekend. It runs through the redwood groves, so it ought to be nice and cool.
