Health insurance for chronically ill wife. need advice

I am now paying out 25% of my monthly income on health insurance. I can live without insurance because I have VA coverage, but my wife needs it. I have insurance through my union, but to insure her, I have to be insured.

I want to drop my insurance an insure just her. If I can save even $50 a month, that would be great.


Any ideas?

2. Does your state have a medical assistance program?

I feel for you. I spend an enormous amont of $ on health care myself because of my illnesses. It's awful.

3. In our state it is only for kids or AIDS patients.

I have a few months to work on a solution. I will keep my eyes open for options.
