What color should I paint my kitchen cabinets?
They're dark green right now, and in need of paint. My counter top is a lovely :sarcasm: 1970's tan/gold marble. The floor is also a lovely fake brick linoleum. Paint is all I can afford at the moment, so what say you DU? Yes the walls are real, not fake panneling.

1. personally? I wouldn't
i'd save up for the floor. otherwise you are likely to have to repaint them again depending on what you go with.

i like the green in a country-style way. get the floor done when you can afford it.

just my .02 :hi:

3. White or black.
I prefer white, because my kitchen is surrounded on the outside by a wrap-around porch that diminishes light. But black might look good too.

5. i would color them white or a lightish color, it gives more of an appearance of space
a bright red will liven things up though

6. How about white w/ green in the panels.
I think that the white will make that room look bigger, but if you can afford an extra gallon, I'd paint that panels in the door with that hunter green.
JMO.

7. Eggshell
It'll make the kitchen feel bigger and it'll go with whatever you do down the road.

10. To go with the '70's countertops
How about a nice light avocado? It'll complete the look.

(Just kidding - my vote is "white", but then again, I have no taste)

I like the wood walls.

14. I do too.
but the cabinets themselves are plastic, while the shelving is all wood. Paint doesn't stick well to them so after seven years of cleaning, there are several "bare" spots where paint should be, but I have cleaned off. They need help.
