After 30 years, I'm playing my first solo gig

I've played my tunes for people before, but never did a show. My buddy wants me to open for his ..ummmmmmm "Garth Brooks tribute band".:eyes:

Actually, they aren't bad. I think they want me to play so I can stay around and run sound, but it sounded interesting. Now I have to learn how to play my tunes again. Luckily, my other buddy is going to accompany me on acoustic bass, so I won't take the brunt of ALL the tomatoes.

I've played a lot of gigs in my day, but if people didn't like the tunes, I could always blame the band. :) Now I have to see how they go over in a stripped down fashion. Oh well, I have nothing to lose. I'm too old to have my dreams crushed..LOL

Yeah, that's us.

Dreamer's Sky is a pretty morbid song..lol. People asked me why I didn't write more "love songs" so I wrote one.

Basically, it is about a guy who dreams of his g/f who did herself in and tells him that he does too, they will be together forever. So he does and when he gets there, she dumps him..LOL
