When I put on a suit and go for an interview, I am acutely aware of the temperature and air flow in the office. If it's sufficiently cool (66 degrees or under) I'm OK. If it's higher, and there is no airflow. I turn into Albert Brooks in Broadcast News. Maybe you've interviewed me. Please don't laugh. Or if you do laugh, keep it to yourself. If anyone has any advice (head anti-perspirant?) lay it on me. Oh...Xanax helps but makes me sleepy.

If you're not sweating profusely, you don't know the mess you're asking to get into.

If you're not worried coming into it, you obviously don't understand the problem.
A cool calm demeanor in this situation, is prima facia evidence you have no experience in SQA.
So, sweating profusely, is not a minus, and may be a plus.

Al Gore insisted that the room temp for debates be no higher than 50 degrees F.
I remember that because I like the same temp.

That's awesome. I know room temp is a big deal in debates. Anyone know the room temp during Kerry's convention speech?

17. I don't know about the convention speech, but I worked at Kerry's DC HQ |
|
during the campaign, and it was always a pleasant temp (60ish degrees).
I loved it, but the baby interns turned blue all of the time.

13. My husband was like that. |

Turns out it was his undiagnosed diabetes causing it, along with the 75 extra lbs. he was carrying. He lost all the weight and his diabetes is completely under control so no more excessive sweating. '
Not saying you have diabetes of course, but has your doctor looked for other issues that may be causing this?

Swim 1.5 miles a day, hit the weights pretty hard. I did drop 20 lbs this past year. Could probably lose 10 more. Took a full blood panel...nothing out of the ordinary. It's just nerves I think. He did prescribe beta blockers...gonna try those. Thanks for the advice though.

Stuff is pretty harsh. I find if I work out before whatever event stresses me out, it helps a lot. I'll try and schedule afternoon interviews. Thx for the advice. :hi:

19. Walk in there thinking that you are interviewing them. That their questions |
|
and intentions need to meet you and your needs in a job. It helps a great deal.
