1. Thanks for the update, I'm stunned |
|
I live in Winston and I really liked Prosser. I ran into him at a Dwight Yoakem show last year. He was a really nice guy. Even if you're not a sports fan, this guy was real, someone with, uh, soul.
Gonna shed a tear now.

3. That's sad. He was well liked in the ACC, |
|
and it's a damn shame he won't get to see his last recruiting class perform for the Deacons. They'll be a force again soon.

5. He was well liked in his community which is just as important |

I took my dogs out for a walk after reading the news. All I could think about was that Prosser was the local Humane Society's host for their annual big fund raiser. They picked him because he was a bit of celeb but also he was a really good guy to hang around with. And he cared, which is a cliche but I can't think of a better phrase.
I'm taking this quite hard because my old dog that I cherished was from the Humane Society and I know that Prosser helped that particular organization.
I know a lot of people who read this site couldn't give a damn about sports but trust me, Prosser was one of the good guys. He used his position of fame to make his corner of the world a better place and he'll be sorely missed.
This is a bit out of character from my usual snarky persona but well, I wanted folks to know that there was more to him than just a guy that taught men how to dribble a basketball.
