Mom wondered why I had my nose in a book. She took me to the eye doctor when I was in second grade, and found out I was quite nearsighted. She felt really stupid.

I'm what they call a "High minus" in doctor speak.
That's minus diopters. A diopter is a meter and a minus is a reciprocal.

So if my good eye is a minus 7.5, take 39.37 inches and divide it by 7.5, and you got my focal length. AND that's the GOOD one!!!

I can see way better in contacts.
I just don't like to mess with them.

I've had this argument repeatedly with others: Craig actually looks a bit more like the original Bond looked on paper than Connery, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan, etc. I wish I still had at least one of my Fleming books around so I could pull out the real description of Bond and show that it's not quite as it is in the movies.

(He's said at times to be handsome but not as handsome as is shown in the movies. He's world-weary and it shows in his face-I remember comments about how his mouth appeared to be quite cruel. I can see that from Craig but not from the others.)
