I'm tapioca until payday
Urban Dictionary isn't useful for me here -- anyone define this? What does tapioca have to do with being broke? Anyone familiar with this expression?

3. I like "I'm Ramen until payday"
B-R-O-K-E. (I think Ramen is cheaper than tapioca. And more versatile.

5. my ramen until payday scenario
to make the ramen more nutritious whip up an egg and pour it into the boiling broth. Cheap easy protein. Tragic that I know this much about being broke!

6. Wow you could afford the egg?
Edited on Fri Jul-27-07 11:21 AM by Rambis
We had to buy rice by the 25 lbs sack in college so we had beer money. If Ramon were anything less than 10 for a 1$.

11. I've done a lot with Ramen myself
Thrown in some sliced onions, peas and curry powder for an Indian Ramen. Garlic, sambal, left over veggies, etc. I've been that broke, too.
I like the egg idea. Thanks.

7. I've heard "tap city" used as well - see the link--
http://www.mikehoulihan.com/lateframe.html

During his journey Pipes runs into his old boss while panhandling in a burger joint and completely flips out while cataloging his tale of woe. “I’m on my ass, tapped out, tap city, tapioca!” Pipes has become a raving lunatic on the loose in search of Nuts.
