Epiphany: everybody's Mom was a Pinko Commie!!!
- They urged us to share -- said greed was bad;
- They wanted to curb consumerism;
- They held a dim view of McDonald's, Coca-Cola etc, favoring instead borderline vegetarianism;

...and I'm sure there's lots more I forgot.

1. My Mom is 77 and she wasnt lolol
she liked McCarthy but Ive set her straight since then.
She has gotten a lot more liberal now that *bUsh destroyed the economy and her stepson is in Iraq, plus she watches my sister lose her job and cant feed her kids.
As a 52 year old mom, my sons are quite taken with the fact that I was so wild back in the 60s and 70s..and they are amazed when I tell them what I did.
I am still wild, albeit a little slower now on purpose because I choose my battles more carefully.
PS I was one of those women the police chased when we spray painted the PlayBoy building in Chicago
"Hugh Hefner has Clitoris Envy"

we were bad bad girls. =)))))

5. Brava for Mama.
I don't much talk about my mom around here; she died when I was eleven. I have few memories of her, and most aren't too good. I often fantasize about what she'd be like.

Thanks to this thread, I'm thinking of her visiting frequently, now that I've moved to the DC area, to take advantage of the Venation B&B while she joins anti-war & other protests downtown.
