Who has seen the Simpsons Movie?
I saw the midnight show because I just couldn't wait. I loved it! I can't wait to see it again. I want to see it next week when I'm in Alaska on vacation to see how Alaskans chuckle at the Alaskan scenes.

Spider pig, spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does.

But Dad, the girls will see my doodle!

Hint: sit through the credits to hear Maggie's second word, the official Springfield theme song, and where a film school degree will lead you.

1. I laffed!!
Just got back from it, was hilarious . .

Oh god the damn Spider Pig song... I would say good dozen or so people were singing that damn song on the way out. ..

Spider pig, Spider pig. . .

I was elected to lead... not read!

2. Just got back from seeing the movie.
Loved it. Packed house. Loved many of the "shocking" moments. And the ending is a warm nod to die-hard Simpson's fans.

3. I went to a midnight show too...
It was funny! I saw Maggie's first word but missed the other 2 things. I had an hour bike-ride to get home and it was late!

4. I saw it this evening.
Very funny. Lots of obscure gags. I liked it a lot.

6. I loved the Fox crawl
and the "to be continued..."

How about Marge saying "just throw the goddam bomb!" and Bart cozying up to Flanders? And the Christians escaping to the bar and the drunks escaping to church? And Homer's Alaskan bar "Eski-Moe'?"

I loved it. I want to see it again.

7. The scene with the birds and deer in the cabin was a riot.
The sight gag with Bart's wang had the whole theater rolling too.

I wish more people had laughed at the part where Lisa's on the scissor lift, but I guess not a lot of people had seen AIT. :(

8. OMG! I forgot about that
there was so much! I know I missed half of it because I was laughing so hard. Bart's doodle was pretty darn funny. Nelson's mom was too.

How about the idiot proof test with Cletis?

9. I was glad they worked him in. Twice even.
I was pleased that they managed to get most of the minor figures in.

10. But no (spoilers)
Patty and Selma. Yeah, we saw them, but no lines!

And loved Homer giving the finger and most of the gay humor.

11. I think I got the moran audience
At the part with the cops there was a lot of "eew! yuck!" crap.

I really wanted to see more Lenny and Carl subtext, since in a film they have a bit more leeway with that.

12. You weren't alone.

The guy behind us muttered to his wife, "We didn't need to see that."

So when Marge and Homer got it on in Alaska, as he leaned down to get his soda, I threw his comment back at him. His shocked silence and the stare were well worth the price of the ticket.

On your Lenny and Carl observation, in our audience most of those who were grossed out by the cops were silenced with the black comment. That's what I love about shock comedy. Feeling superior one moment, only to get taken down in almost the same breath.

13. I got lucky with mine...
it seemed they were all Simpsons fanatics like me and got all the gags, at least the ones we could catch! They were pretty fast during that first half hour.
