Tell us 1thing that pisses you off IMMEDIATELY
Edited on Fri Jul-27-07 11:14 PM by LibraLiz1973
A song, tv show, neighbor, pizza delivery guy, someone who works out next to you at the gym, the sound of squeaky brakes...

Mine:

I go from comatose to insane bitch in less than a second when I'm buying something and the customer service is really really bad.

Others:

People being rude to the elderly
Tail gaters
Loud Cell Phone Talkers
The Macarena song

63. Ding, ding,ding,ding,ding - good answer!!!
I get really pissed at people who meet there friends in the middle of the aisles for an extended conversation.

I am wont to say something like:

"Might I respectfully suggest that you take your little reunion to the seating area in the deli section where you can then continue your pointless little conversation instead of blocking the frickin aisles and keeping the rest of us from actually SHOPPING ! ? ! ! "

well, not that exactly, but something like it.

Edited on Fri Jul-27-07 11:28 PM by DS1
wearing flip flops
chewing gum
saying "like" too much
"know what I'm sayin?"
people giving orders in line and having a conversation on their cellphones at the same time (the reason the US Post Office puts up signs telling you to not do this is because they will kill you) (and I'm okay with that)
self-righteous traffic vigilante assholes who drive in the left lane to slow everyone down. I don't speed anymore, so I'm not affected, but still. Move over, let the cops do their job
writing third-party out of state checks in the express line
any time the lines are stacked more than 4 deep in any store, that's bad management
anyone who shows up with a list at dunkin donuts, and can't read it, and has to call back to base
websites with 'mystery meat' navigation - which is the industry term of clicking a button or link and having no idea where it's going
myspace pages with any music that auto-plays
most myspace pages in general
people who push the cross-walk button, then jaywalk anyway, and are a block away by the time the 'walk' light turns to "don't walk"
people who are rude to servers or bartenders
people who show up one hour late for reservations and still demand a table
people who piss me off
people who fly into a rotary (that's a roundabout for British readers) without even looking and then honk ME for cutting them off
people who get to screw Katsumi on a regular basis
oops

people who edit posts without telling why

edit: change effected to affected. I'm a moron, and piss myself off

31. Okay, now this is some funny here...
My DH and I were waiting in line to apply for passports in a local Post Office. We notice a sign that says "Please disengage from your cell phone calls before approaching the Postal Workers."

DH and I looked at each other and immediately said to each other, almost in unison: "That must happen all the time for them to post a sign!"

At first I found it hilarious, but then I got really, really sad. It's not like you can't WAIT to discuss your business on the phone. Right? Right?

14. "Don't take it personally"
1. Someone saying, "don't take it personally" makes my head explode. First, human nature requires you take things personally-- good, bad or mediocre, it's has to be how you personally feel. Secondly, I think it is just a cop out. Basically, someone wants to insult you and then blame you for being offended. ARG!

2. Stemless wine glasses make me crazy

3. Co-workers without boundaries. I have some co-workers who have become friends, but for the most part I don't want to hear about your sex life, watch you floss, or see 100s of pictures. (A co-worker this week sent me a link to her wedding and honeymoon photo album which had 1000+ picture-- everyone looked happy in the first 3, but after that I was done.)

45. Oh yeah, that one is like nails down a chalkboard for me.
Any government attempt to be "down with the kids" always ends up being a load of irritating, preachy crap. You can just imagine the whole sorry process, as a committee of dust-covered bureaucrats hires some advertising company that usually only wins campaigns fronted by Billy Mays on late-night cable, to come up with a "hip" and "happening" series of ads that "really speak to youth."

The result is always a steaming pile of cringingly embarrassing old tosh that any teenager with two functioning braincells can see through like a 12k Klieg light through a piece of Saranwrap.

I am a woman and harbor no evil designs on anyone's sons OR daughters...I just happen to work in an industry where it is easier and more efficient to have a MySpace page than not.

So, your peeve is interesting to me. Not everyone over 30 is to be feared, just for the record...and yes, I'm a bit over thirty. But I have lots of under-30s as my "friends" in the MS world. None of whom I'm interested in dating...LOL.

25. losing a long eloquent rant - er - post
when the 'puter crashes

when the connection decides it's going to route through Alpha Centauri

when people dial the wrong number and get made at you

Stupid people. I hate stupid people. (Note: not "unintelligent people". Not mentally challenged people. STUPID PEOPLE who ain't got sense to poor pee out'n their boots, if you know what I mean.)

Not-soon-enough-to-be-ex's.

People who assume they KNOW WHAT I'M THINKING.

People who don't think LOGICALLY and Critically.

People who think that just because I've pointed out the fallacies in their arguments/premise, that I disagree with their POV.

hmmmmmmm - red lights piss me off (unless I WANT ONE - which case I don't get one, then green lights piss me off.)

Use of the word "supposively" or "clearify"

No price tags/prices on an item.

er..... I guess I should stop now?

Oh wait - oh yeah - People who think I'm being rude to waiter/waitresses and checkout people when I'm NOT - I just don't seem to always recognize that they're "there". I mean, it's like the ATM, I'm not rude to the ATM. There's a job to be done, do it. Take the order, bring the order, fill the glasses, bring the bill. You're not my best friend. (and yeah, I used to wait tables for living. so don't go there.) Some people wanna be all chatty cathy and I'm your bud, others don't. Respect that. I've got kids to control. OCD people - including self - to nudge into making a DAMN DECISION about what to ORDER - fgs! - sometimes I just don't have time nor the inclination for idle chitchat with people I don't know and will probably never see again. Please note - I'm never actively RUDE (unless they're rude first) I'm just "not engaged". Aspie spectrum people get accused of being rude - a whole damn lot - but they're not. They just don't notice sometimes.

And oh yeah - when people don't get wtf I'm saying and can't follow my train of logic. Which, of course, makes PERFECT SENSE if you'd just think about it, dam-nit!

I HATE:

Poor or careless food service (as a former server who was well-trained)
Agree with your disdain of disrespecting the elderly
Lack of respect towards cemeteries, monuments, etc. (I actually saw a bunch of people at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier playing CARDS once - during the ceremony)
Tailgaters/cell phone drivers...you can spot both of them a MILE away
People who will do anything to advance their place in traffic when everyone else is obviously waiting their turn
Cell phones in obvious use at: restaurants, movie theaters, concerts, hospitals, etc.

Just a few. But I'm really not a tight-ass. ;-)

49. Any type of official that cheats someone out something that they have worked hard for..........
all their life even maybe. The current NBA scandal is loaded with some very fine examples of this. It also goes to show how also there is possibility of just one person screwing a whole system up if proper discretion isn't applied.

This is what i am getting on about really

51. Shallow, arrogant, judgmental and closed-minded people
Prejudice and stereotypes against people who live at home, overweight people, people who enjoy certain forms of entertainment, etc. It's not racism, but it's the same type of mental laziness and ignorant way of thinking that racist people have.

Anybody who uses the term "loser" to describe another human being based solely on his or her lack of success in life. I'd like to find sort of a counter-word to describe these arrogant, prejudiced, ignorant, closed-minded and judgmental idiots who use the term "loser" to describe people this way.
These are the types of people I think about when I look at my newest bumper sticker that says: "If only closed minds came with closed mouths".

59. this is going to sound cliche
but when people make racist comments around me. They are ignorant enough to think everyone feels like they do. It's not just the racism, it's the 'wtf' feeling I get, like, 'do I look that f*cking ignorant to you' or something feeling I have. Here there is a large hispanic population and so many people around here both white and black are always griping about it. Drives me nuts.

73. So much, so so much
Cheating spouses. Lying spouses. Spouses in general.

The "friend" who slept with her.

People who constantly use passive aggresive bullshit and then act like they have no idea what you are talking about.

People who play their rap "music" as loud as possible in their little tuner honda with the boom muffler and unpainted spoiler on the back and think they're cool.

Women putting their makeup on while driving in front of me in their car.

Disrespecting the elderly.

Piss-poor customer service.

Bill collectors in general.

People who show up an hour early at your garage sale and assume they are special enough for you to let them shop early.

Popup Software nags ("Your virus software subscription has run out, renew now?")

Poor software design.

Clowns, magicians, karaoke singers.

Drunks

82. Phone trees
especially the ones where you have to go through 6 different menus and and sub menus that have no options even remotely related to why you called. Then you finally get an option to talk to a human, get put on hold and are rewarded with a recorded message telling you that the company in question takes its customer service seriously. "The wait time is 30 minutes-thank you- we value your business".

87. My list would be too long but just a few off the top:
My husband telling me I am "too sensitive". As if he would know sensitive if it bit his penis off.

My husband telling me to "not take things personally". (Get away from me or you will be eating oatmeal from now on).

Republicans

Pat Robertson, John Hagee, King George, King Cheney and anyone else who is Velcro stuck to their butts.

People who don't appreciate my car window sticker that says
NAZI'S WOUDN'T SAY "ENOUGH" EITHER

My neighbors children. They are evil little republican swine who graffiti my sticker and stir up a bee nest in the back yard.

My husband.

88. TVs on everywhere, all the time. Good God, people, must you
have that drivel poured into your brains 24/7?

People who don't turn off their TVs when you visit their homes. RUDE.

People who come into the quiet lunchroom (where ppl go to eat and read or talk quietly) and proceed to yak on their FUCKING cell phones for an hour, conducting one pointless, idiotic conversation after another.

People (always men!) who tell me to SMILE or CHEER UP. Well, asshole, if I could chop you into tiny fucking pieces right here and now, I WOULD BE CHEERED UP CONSIDERABLY. How about it?

Drivers who pull up way back of the white line at a stop light, then creep up a couple of feet at a time, making everyone behind them creep up, too. Very rude.

Coworkers who don't refill paper/make coffee when it's empty/pick up their messes/empty the shredder bag when it's full -- YOUR MOMMY ISN'T HERE ANYMORE TO DO FOR YOU, ASSHOLE.

Bosses whose grammar and spelling suck -- but who refuse to run their papers by me, the local grammar guru. The upside to this is that I get to see them look STOOPID in front of vice presidents! That was truly priceless!

92. People who discard used disposable diapers e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!!!
You see them in parking lots and alongside the road, and that's bad enough, but where it really pisses me off is to find one on the bank of the creek or in an otherwise pristine natural setting. Some people get downright nasty with the things. It just makes me want to find out where these people live and go poop on their front porch.
