I'm in love

with Kathy Bates.



I'm watching Misery and she's just perfect. Sort of like a female Jack Nicholson -- just short of over-the-top with a little tongue-in-cheek -- but more subtle and nuanced. She's great in everything I've seen her in. I loved her in Primary Colors and she was a highlight in her relatively small role as Molly Brown in the bombastic (mostly, to me, bleh) Titanic. She was even great as Terry Bradshaw's wife in Failure To Launch, far from the greatest film ever made.

Kathy Bates is supercool.

She doesn't have a very big role there, but her performance is outstanding. While whole Hollywood presents all these bombshells actresses, she's the one stripping down to the nude, and she's gorgeous. :thumbsup:
