The location is Minnehaha Park in the southeast corner of Minneapolis, on the grassy, tree-covered "island" across from the main parking lot above the picnic shelter.

3. I have such lovely memories of Minnehaha Park!

My family lived in Rochester, MN, from 1968-1977. We took school trips to the Twin Cities, and my family took occasional trips there, too. I remember picnics in that park and special events there. Remember the Freedom Train in 1976?

a great time! My first DU get together was in Indianapolis, and arranged by the late and greatly missed Keph... I root on (and kick threads for) other get-togethers in memory of the opportunity my first one gave me to meet Keph - and the second one ended up in a marraige between two DUers who met at the event... Who knows what great things might transpire - I encourage those in the vicinity to take advantage of the opportunity.

also referenced in the OP. I live in WI, I know from Cheeseheads. My post was confusing but what I meant was that as a Cheesehead, I was kicking it to represent WI. That wasn't clear by the way I said it.
