homerless streak in MLB!

:woohoo:

Watching the guys in the Twins dugout after that was really entertaining. Wish I could have actually been at Jacobs Field for that.

1. My dear KitchenWitch!
That sounds terrific!

How long was the homerless streak?

Someday you must take me to a baseball game, OK?

:woohoo:

Granted, I am sure he has been up and down (into the minors) for some of that, but it was pretty remarkable.

and on edit: We MUST go to a ballgame. I could easily be persuaded to come up there and take in a Dodger game!

7. Play By Play for the Giants, right?
He did some off-season radio and TV stuff during his time w/ The Tribe; he wasn't bad. My first girlfriend had a huge crush on him; my favorite player at the time was Andre Thornton and when we went to Bat Day in 1976, she actually got a Kuiper bat and I got a Thunder Thornton one, totally random!

Good times...

8. Yup
They've got the best crew in baseball, for my money — Kuiper, Mike Krukow (known throughout the Bay Area as Kruk & Kuip), the kid David B. Flemming, who's gonna be a really good one, and the master of radio-booth silliness, Jon Miller.

Kruk and Kuip have this great chemistry — they're professional, yet they're still the ballplayers they once were. Krukow calls Kuiper "meat" all the time and stuff like that. They just have fun, and it makes the game more fun to listen to.

Nice story on 'em: http://www.knbr.com/giants/krukKuip.html
