I'm listening to Feetwood Mac.
That's a sure sign that today is a really tough day. I only listed to my old music when I'm too zonked out to listen to anything else.

What music do you only listen to on bad days?

1. Hindu Love Gods
The guys from REM with Warren Zevon subbing for Michael Stipe, mostly semi-goofy covers of old blues songs

I can't even imagine what that sounds like. When I'm having a better day I'm going to have to do a search for some of their stuff.

3. Hindu Love Gods are great.
Guess I'm a sucker for that simple fun rock-n-roll. The Raspberry Beret cover is brilliant, I hated Battleship Chains until HLG's version, and the blues songs are as aggressive and hard edged as REM ever got IMO.

I listen to HLG's 4 times for every time I put on some old REM. The record was conceived of and recorded in about a week IIRC. That's my kind of record!

10. I tend to make bad days worse
listen to downer stuff, Portishead has been a mainstay for the last 9 months or so when I get down. Not the smartest move. Trying to change that pattern. Fleetwood Mac is a great band, I really love all their stuff. Stevie Nicks :loveya: has a voice that makes me feel a bittersweet sensation. Some good/bad memories associated with that band for sure.

Hope you feel better Thom

:pals:

12. Thank you.
I'm now listening to Tony Joe White and I'm trying to get some personally writing done. (Well, except for taking a break to post on DU). :)

Rumors? I love that cd. In fact, sometimes I'll listen to it for days -- happy or sad.

I'm very sorry you are hurting. :-(
