Sunday Afternoon at the Bookstore
Stopped and bought books at a garage sale on the way in.

A woman dropped in with 35 hard covers and gave them to me. Free.

I've had steady sales today. Online sales continue also.

Several friends I have been missing have called to say hello today.

We are now eating good southern food from Maxies. I have a pulled pork sandwich with BBQ beans and corn bread. The kids have grilled cheese with cajun spiced french fries.

Life can really be pretty good at times...

:hug::hug::hug::hug: =====> for the lounge!

Kids got deposited on my doorstep at 7am... Grrrrrr.

But they crawled into bed with me and cuddled. :D

28. deposited 7am no notice?
Gah, someone (else) needs a lesson in boundaries. And manners.

Still sounds like a good day, though.

I wasted my "alone" weekend. Spent most of it here on DU. THAT was dumb, huh?

The house is too damn quiet without the boyos. I was tempted to turn on the TV and the CD player (LOUD) just so I could pretend they were here. Oh and leave the doors open, dirty clothes on the floor, slop some water around, and shoes in the middle of the floor just so I could trip over them! :sigh:

You're right - Life CAN be good at times. We need to remember that - all of us.

When you're surrounded by books - kids and good food - what else can you want? I do hope that you pick up and read "Blue Highways".
hugs to you all

27. Your one garage sale >>>>>>>>>> the three that I went to this weekend.
There were a few garage sales this weekend on the street I live on so I walked to them (I don't drive), and one had mostly little-kids' stuff (although there was a CD there that I wasn't sure if I wanted, decided I did later that day, and went back today but the sale was over why in god's name do people not take their fucking signs down when their garage sale is over huh?), one had mostly clothes and plates and sundry kids' board games, and the third one... well, the third one just had suck. Took me forever to find it, too, since it was down a side road. None of them had any books that weren't meant for the under-8 crowd. Just once I'd like to find a garage sale with some decent alternative music CDs and some good books.
