16. I always feel bad about leaving my kitty...

We got her at age 8 weeks, May 2000. A little cute ball of fluff, a Maine Coon, and kitten-fierce.



Less than two weeks after we got her, my grandmother in Illinous was dying. On the deathbed. Got a phone call from my mom, we left that morning in the car. Big bowl of food, big bowl of water, plenty of kitty litter. Didn't get there in time. Stayed for the funeral. So we were gone about a week.

Four weeks later... a schedualed 4-day camping trip to Gettysburg, PA for the anniversary of the battle. Again... big bowl of food, big bowl of water, plenty of kitty litter.

Three weeks later... my grandfather dies. Funeral services that weekend. So, again...big bowl of food, big bowl of water, plenty of kitty litter.

4 weeks later... the wedding! And honeymoon! Again... big bowl of food, big bowl of water, plenty of kitty litter, and my ex's cousin stopped by every couple of days to check up on her because we were gone for like 2 weeks.

Every since then, she tries to pack herself in suitcases.
