We stopped by the Birmingham farmers market Sat, and........ |

Despite the drought down here, there was more locally grown produce than I expected. And despite its lower than normal quality, it is quite tasty and orders of magnitude better than the stuff at the Superpuke.
Fresh peas, maters, squash of all kinds, peaches, plums. My point is, buy your food from local sources whenever possible, even in a "bad" year. Oops, almost forgot the fresh greens!

Market Saturday AM. Always crowded. Almost every thing in season now. Agree with you totally, everything is a hundred per cent better than our local markets. Which are pretty good.
