last night i had a bizarre dream about hank aaron and barry bonds.... |
|
it was pretty cool.
hank was pissed off that a steroid freak was going to break his legitimate record. he had been working with martial arts so his body was still limber. he had a laser eye surgery to get his vision perfect and he got pumped up on steroids and came on board with the crappy texas rangers as DH just after bonds broke his record. they put him in the leadoff spot and he just went for a homerun on every swing. he caught bonds at number 759.
then some noise woke me up. :(

3. it was cool to see the 73 year old aaron taking big cuts at the plate.... |
|
...and going yard.
i think barry bonds is a great player, but if he's using steroids (and it sure seems he is), then they should erase his records. had hammerin hank been a roider he would have hit 1500 HRs for chrissakes.

i was a cub fan, but i still loved aaron. he was a first class player! i'm so glad i got to see him play.
bonds might end up with a lot more homers but he never had to face the likes of gibson, jenkins, seaver and ryan in their prime, kofax, etc. pitching in the bigs ain't what it used to be.

7. thank you for mentioning him. seems like he is lost in all this. |
|
he is a class act. my dad pitched in the braves farm league back in the early 50's. i was born in atlanta and have been a braves fan since birth. i am so proud of hammerin' hank i could just burst!!!
he is the bestest:patriot:
