No "Strafing" allowed at Myrtle Beach |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-30-07 03:35 PM by underpants
I called one of those biplane ride thingie places and they said that they had a strict "NO STRAFING" policy even if I did pay extra.

6. I have seen middle America |
|
and they frighten me :scared:
HOLD ME!
North Myrtle is a fake land of highrise condo hotels catering to the "inlanders" from West Virginia, Kentucky, and Illinois/Southern Ohio
My wife and I just sat by the pool with cold drinks watching guys from Ky, western Va, and Tenn confront their "look" clones ....repeatedly.
I have no idea why they go through the trouble of driving their own cars they should all park outside of the city and get bused in and around to all the buffets....or maybe that would just be a little too on the honesty side.

7. We went to Myrtle Beach for Spring Break. |
|
Never again. The place was overrun with teenagers...unsupervised teenagers, (I should probably tell matcom)
Anyway, we stayed at an okay place, The Breakers and ate at one really spectacular Italian Restaurant, Ramando's.
Other than that and the requisite trip to South of the Border for my son to buy fireworks :eyes: I was not impressed.
Not in a big hurry to return. It has changed a great deal over the years.

12. I hear they have a few golf courses. Buzzing golfers could be fun in a biplane. |
|
Heck a biplane could probably land on some of those greens. I don't suppose that would do much for the putting quality of the green though.

Unless you like going to nightclubs and getting stuck in traffic. We are getting the new Hard Rock Amusement Park opening next spring. The Led Zeppelin roller coaster is almost finished and I can just see the traffic piling up now. Oh goody.
