has anyone here been getting calls from "Tim Culver"??? |
|
this isn't a 'joke'-
i'm getting a little freaked out by this...
He's a harassing caller, and i have some .... 'issues' that really get triggered by this kind of thing...
thanks to anyone who can help.

3. its a Kansas #- and we have |
|
a 'rule' in our house, no answering the phone if mom isn't home- i've been getting these calls for the last several weeks, this time it came through on 'caller id' as "Tim Culver"- with the same #.
When i answer, it's either 'breather' or hang up. If i let the answering machine get it, it's hang up.
This happens pretty often, at least once a day- ??-
don't think it has anything to do with internet, i am kind of paranoid about giving out personal info,- needed to be that way for good reasons-
thanks for replying- blu

5. call the phone company |
|
and report the person as a harassing caller. They may not be able to catch them, but they may be able to block that caller or log their calls and it might help build a case against that person if they are caught somewhere.
Also don't answer it if it is this person.
Sounds like a strange person and harassing

down now- and i am going to call and ask that the # be blocked-
what simple rational advice- (duh) I should know enough to do that
I only have caller id on one phone, not the other, so i don't know who it is sometimes- blocking the # should eliminate this silly panic... :P
I appreciate the help very much-
thanks, blu

I hate taking or making calls. So now my phone ringer is turned off and my answering machine says 'for 25 cents you can leave a message for Mr. Hfojvt. Please enter your credit card number after the tone."
edit: is this by any chance about the Kansas AG? I got one such call way back, pressed one to discontinue, and have not heard any more. I get robocalls telling me to dial an 800 number. I wonder if that is a collection agency or something. It may not even be for me, could be for the last person with this number.

as afraid of the phone in the last few years- but repeated hang-ups, especially when you hear the caller hang up after you say hello un-nerves me. i have the same phone number that my family had since phone numbers were given out in our area here in NH- i think in the 50's? so i doubt it is for anyone except us, (unless it were a mistake- which wouldn't keep happening-?
I googled the name, and the first hit was for others who had been getting crank calls- which surprised me- i'm relieved to think i'm not alone in this, but can't understand why ...my # made the list??---
i like your message. If it were just up to me, i'd do something very similar-
thanks, blu
