Even the indoor/outdoor cats have moved in for summer.

Everywhere you look there is a cat or dog sleeping, can't say I blame them.

Our monsoons have moved in here in NM, and I can hardly stand the stickiness

2. like, my hair doesn't even dry when I get out of the shower
I keep it balled up in a knot on my head and when I take it down it's still wet.

I'm sick of sticking to myself. :(

9. I lived without AC for two years in Austin years ago.
I worked on weekends just to be in AC during the day, the nights wasn't so bad with a fan.

12. My apartment was a second story so I got a good breeze at night.
With a window fan and two room fans the nights were OK, but the days would kill you.

My cat lived in the nearby by tree during day, the apartment was like a oven during the day.

my cat used to climb the wall to my balcony - and one day, so did a raccoon - he helped himself to some cat food and then left :o

14. We still have some racoons out here, a mother and two or three babies.
We don't have the wildlife we had because of the townhouses.

I leave catfood on the shed in the backyard, the animals walk along the fence to get to the shed.

We have a lot of animals come to visit.

I miss Austin, those were the days.

It has changed so much.

It is still nice to visit but the Austin of the 70's was very cool.

18. It's so humid here...
the birds are swimming across the sky.

Humidity here is 96%.

When I was in Seoul, Korea it was a full one hundred percent in summer. We would take a shower and work up a sweat drying off and that's no joke. Water would condense on the walls and run across the floor. I figured all the rice paddies had something to do with it. Lucky for me I was 21 at the time. Harder to tolerate such discomforts when you get older.

I was in Uijongbu, just north of Seoul (last stop on the blue subway line). We used to joke that you didnt have to drink water in the summer, just breathe.

21. If we open the door to the side yard or the atrium, the cats
park inside by the door so they can get a cool (AC) breeze on their butts. And the house air turns into liquid in a matter of minutes.

It's rained a consecutive 741 days in Houston, I swear. :P

Luckily, my wife and kids are away today and nobody will be bugging me to turn on the A/C. I just can't stand A/C.

My Siberian Husky is hugging an air conditioning vent for all that he's worth. The two greyhounds are spread out on the floor of the family room under the ceiling fan, the older whippet is spread out on my bed under a ceiling fan and the younger whippet is on a couch in the family room cuddled next to my 5 year old daughter.

It is humid, not like San Antonio, Austin, or Houston, but it is humid here. Dewpoints in the 60s. The nice thing is we have not hit 100 yet this year.
