1. The local nekkid 5K was last weekend
Good times
There's a clothing optional triathlon in a couple weeks, not sure how many folks will be crazy/stupid enough to ride a bike 12 miles with no seat protection.

3. Distance runners are an odd sort
you have to be a little out there to run 26 miles at a crack. But it certainly is fun.

5. you must be a masochist
I did 15 on Sunday, but left at 6AM. Theres no way I could take the mid-day heat here in Missouri.

Another trick I learned is to stash water bottles on the road side. I have a couple of loops I run regularly (8 miles, 6, 4, and 3) so I stash the water near my house where the loops start/finish. you mix and match the loops to get whatever distance you like, and grab the water when you finish a loop.

6. Yeah a guy who did the Richmond marathon last year told me about that
I just carry one with me and I got used to the water belt thing-I switched a little coke bottle for the big water bottle it came with.

I have no idea what I was thinking at Myrtle. Most of that was on the only undeveloped part of the whole stretch. It was like running through a desert-there was a county cop posted at one end to watch the surfers and no one for at least 2 miles on the beach NO ONE
