This kid came into my office charged with possession of drug paraphernelia - an apple.

Apparently, police saw him and three friends passing it around in a parked car. They seized an apple cut off at the top to form a bowl with a hole leading from it to the side of the apple.

I'm not naive but I never heard of an apple bong.

when I was young. Especially on camping trips. Just cut the core outta the apple from the top and line with aluminum foil. Poke holes in the foil with a toothpick. Tunnel in from the side and Voila! you had an edible bong. Not really very tasty but as someone else said, it was biodegradable. That was back in the day tho when it wasn't such a huge deal.
