1. Andy Garcia is the best part of Godfather III...the rest of the movie sucks.
I work at Warner Bros. in Burbank and one day my wife met me for lunch. We went to this local Japanese restaurant and Joe Montagna was there with his wife. He was going into the restaurant when we were and held the door for us. I said to my wife, "Joey Zaza just held the door for us!" (She had no idea who I was talking about.)

6. I know...cool, huh? He actually owns a restaurant in Burbank --
serves authentic "Chicago cuisine."

Their pizza is pretty good. Joe's wife is usually there, but sometimes he is, also.

"Yo, Joey Zaza! How about a slice!"

14. Robert De Niro waved at my friend......
when she was in New York. Nice italian girl. :) She thought he was waving to somebody else, but no, nobody else.

Nothing to do with Godfather III, but hey..... :D

3. I caught a few minutes. I haven't seen it before.
Michael Corleone's in a meeting with the dons. There's a bunch of stilted dialogue. Then a helicopter gun fight. I was expecting Rambo to jump out from under the table and shoot down the helicopter with a bow and arrow.

I don't need to watch that shit.

5. So, should we just take Godfather III out of the lineup and replace it with Scarface?
I think Scarface could round out the trilogy quite well

9. That works.
Michael Corleone got trapped in Cuba during the revolution, changed his name to Tony Montana, escaped on a boat, and had to rebuild his entire criminal empire.

Also his accent changed. That happens all the time. Plus he somehow had a little sister in Cuba. It's better not to ask questions about the mafia.

11. Oooh what if Fredo had escaped into Cuba to become Scarface and hunt down his renegade brother?
That would have been awesome!

as some people or some critics think...however, Sofia is indeed awful.

15. Pretty good, should have been better.
On the plus side: Pacino, Keaton, Andy Garcia and Talia Shire. Using the Vatican Bank scandal was a nice plot point.

The downside was Sofia Coppola, but I blame her father for casting her when he should have known better. It's really stretching it when you have a guy like Garcia getting all hot and bothered over her. Not the worst actress I've ever seen, but when she gets killed at the end, it doesn't say much for her acting ability when her best scene in the whole movie is playing a corpse.
