How do you open up a bottle of frozen champagne? |
|
Last night I started cleaning out my refrigerator because something is wrong with it and I found a frozen bottle of Champagne in it. I have been trying to uncork it for a while.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You are lucky that the bottle didn't break when the champagne froze and expanded. Put it in the refrigerator and let it thaw out for a day or two. Use caution--the bottle may still shatter!

My back has been out and I haven't been able to bend down to check the bottom of the refrigerator out. It wasn't a big turkey it was cut up on a plate. My refrigerator is freezing everything that I put in it and I have to have the management company come up to my apartment and fix it on Monday so I have to clean it out.

If you get it open a little, the cork will pop out and it will explode an bubble out all over.

13. My refrigerator is broken so I can't put it back in |
|
That's why I am cleaning it out it either freezes everything or it defrosts. I should have let it defrost but I was afraid that the food from thanksgiving would stink.

I am drinking it right now and it does taste kind of odd but it did the trick on the diuretic.

Whatever you do, don't stick it in the oven to unthaw, like a dumb friend of mine did once. :eyes:
