Peckinpah's THE WILD BUNCH is the greatest...
... movie ever made. The AFI top 100 list had it at 55. Does anyone think that ET is better? Or any of the others that were rated higher..
What do you want in a movie? I want stuff happening on the surface and deeper, more philosophical stuff happening underneath...
The 'title' sequence alone is 'classic'...when Pike(William Holden) looks at the camera and says "If they move, kill'em"; and then 'Directed by Sam Peckinpah' is shown on the screen. Shouldn't that be the eternal battle cry of 'autuers' everywhere, at all times...

1. "The Wild Bunch"
This is the "Reservoir Dogs" of Westerns. The script, acting, and effects are incredible.

2. You Have Great Taste In Movies

"Wild Bunch" is one of my all-time favorites; I can't remember how many times I saw it when it originally came out. Do you remember how controversial all the violent content was back then?

I watched part of it on TV not too long ago, and I was saddened to see how many of the cast members are no longer with us. They just don't make them like Bill Holden anymore......

3. Yeah...it is, like I say...
...the best. I have a tape of the 'directors cut' and I try to limit my viewing to a coupla times a year. I'm glad that a lot of those fellas got to be in that film. Who even remembers Robert Ryan anymore?
And Edmund O'Brien as 'Freddy Sykes' was a truly choice performance.
"It's not as good as it used to be, but it'll do". Christ almighty!!
I have a feeling that they all knew that it was a special occasion and I think they all tore it up. An almost perfect film...

"Let's go"....
"Why not?"...
